At the beginning of our year-long celebration of the 400th anniversary of Tomás Luis de Victoria's death, this programme will feature his wonderful Missa O quam gloriosum, plainchant for All Saints and William Byrd's motets for All Saints, accompanied by cornetts and sackbuts.

No Victoria in this programme, but the quatercentenary theme is reflected by the inclusion of songs from William Byrd’s 1611 publication of Psalmes, Songs and Sonnets. Our guests will be Chordophony, the only professional lute quartet in the world!
